by Michelle Stein posted in Products
If your kids love chicken nuggets as much as mine do, it's time to check the freezer.
That's because nearly 1 million pounds of chicken nuggets, fingers, patties, and fillets have been recalled after pieces of metal were found in these ready-to-eat products. OK Food, Inc. announced this recall, which affects 933,272 pounds of breaded chicken products, according to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Safety & Inspection Service (FSIS.) The recall comes after five consumer complaints of metal objects found in the ready-to-eat chicken products. It was determined after an investigation that the material came from metal conveyor belting.
So far, there haven't been any confirmed reports of adverse reactions related to eating these chicken products.
