10 easy last-minute ways to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day

Tuesday, March 21st is World Down Syndrome Day. In the past, we have celebrated by doing things like having parties, doing 21 random acts of kindness, and putting together special videos.
World Down Syndrome Day kind of crept up on us this year, so here are 10 last-minute ways we plan on celebrating. And, if you love someone with Down syndrome, feel free to borrow any and all of them!
1. Rock Your Socks! One fun and easy way people around the world will be celebrating is by wearing crazy and/or mismatched socks. This Tuesday make sure to snap a pic of your rocked socks and share it on Facebook and Twitter with #RockYourSocks.
2. Send a note. Help your child send a ?just because? or ?thank you? note to their friends, family, and favorite teachers. 3. Send treats. Make treats to send to school to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day with their friends.
4. Patronize companies (like Target, Chick Fil-A, McDonalds, and Fisher Price) that employ individuals with Down syndrome and share on Facebook and Twitter with #DSworks. Show them we appreciate their support!

6. Donate to a local Down syndrome group. Find your local group here.
