16-year-old delivers baby thanks to high school childbirth class

Sixteen-year-old Morlie Hayes hasn't graduated from high school yet, but she's already put her education to practical use.
Thanks to what she'd learned about childbirth in a child development class at school, the teenager was able to deliver her baby cousin when her aunt suddenly went into labor last weekend.
It started on Saturday morning, when Morlie answered a knock on the front door to find her 7-year-old cousin standing there in tears.
"My mom's outside. She's going to have her baby!" the overwhelmed little girl told Morlie. Laura Creager's due date was still two weeks away, but it seems her baby had other plans. She stopped at Morlie's family's house when very strong contractions kicked in while she was out running errands with her daughter that morning. Rather than enter panic mode, Morlie got right to work. She gathered some supplies, called 911 and was talking to the dispatcher when her aunt called out. They had thought she still had about an hour before labor would really set in, but that timeline went out the window when Laura suddenly felt the need to start pushing!
So, push she did, with her niece's assistance, and it didn't take long before her baby girl was born, right there on the bathroom floor (that fortunately, Morlie had cleaned earlier that day. Talk about a teenage superhero!).
