2 moms wore Fitbits during labor: Here's what they revealed

Ever wonder what childbirth looks like through the eyes of a fitness tracker"
Look no further!
When fellow BabyCenter blogger, Whitney Barthel, and I were pregnant at the same time last fall, we decided to conduct a little experiment: We would both wear our Fitbit Charge HRs during labor and delivery and compare our data. (If you're unfamiliar with the Charge HR, it tracks steps, calories burned, heart rate and sleep.)
Whitney gave birth to her fourth son via c-section back in January -- and the results were spot-on. Based on the calories-burned chart, you could see exactly when her water broke, when she delivered baby Charlie, and each time nurses came into her hospital room to push on her uterus.
How cool is that" (Not the uterus-pushing part. That actually hurts like a mofo.)
In mid-April, it was my turn. I had a vaginal delivery with an epidural, and welcomed my third child -- a daughter. During my relatively short labor, I kept notes about when I got the epidural started, how far dilated I was, etc., wondering if my Fitbit was picking up on the massive amounts of stress and changes going on with my body.
So, drum roll please ... here's what my Fitbit tracked during my vaginal, epidural-assisted labor and delivery.
And just for giggles, here's a peek at our heart rate charts.
