I recently learned an interesting fact about baby names: In some African nations, such as Zimbabwe, parents don't just pick names that sound pretty but instead choose ones that convey an important meaning. So it's not all that unusual, for instance, to meet people named Lovemore, Learnmore, Godknows, Trust, Praise.
Some famous examples include Zimbabwean footballer Have-A-Look Dube, journalist and politician Kindness Paradza, activist Silence Chihuri and former Nigerian president Goodluck Jonathan (who is married to a woman named Patience).
With the notable exception of popular virtue-based names such as Faith, Hope and Honor, North American parents don't usually get quite that literal. The meaning behind a name, though, is still a priority for many moms- and dads-to-be. With that in mind, here are some beautiful baby names with equally beautiful meanings. Which is your favorite"
