I think the universe is trying to tell me something. Today, one of my best friends showed up to our little Montessori class with her 2-week-old baby. He was sound asleep and you better believe I got a big whiff of that newborn baby smell and stroked his soft little peach fuzz cheeks. Be still my heart.
Then, later today my youngest crawled up into my lap while I was sitting on my sofa. "Mama," she whispered, "You need to have another baby."
As if that wasn't enough for this "I'm pretty sure we're done" mom, now I'm scrolling through the pages of Etsy and Instagram putting together a few of my favorite nursery picks. On the other hand, maybe this is just a great way for me to get my baby fix for now. I hope... Either way, I will never tire of the amazing nursery gear and decor you can find from small businesses and handmade shops. And I love the fact that there are no hard-and-fast rules for today's nurseries. You can mix florals and fun prints; the limited palettes of pink and baby blue are a thing of the past.
So take a look at some of my favorite finds for a fun, modern, and mostly handmade nursery. And don't forget with all these fabric items, you'll need to wash them in something gentle before baby arrives, like Dreft,  for hypoallergenic cleaning that won't irritate your baby's sensitive skin.
