4 tips for dealing with your baby's first illness
by Jamie Reed posted in Pregnancy
The first two trimesters of my pregnancy have been filled with exciting plans and decisions. I've been decorating the nursery, registering for gifts, and signing up for childbirth classes. I was feeling pretty on top of things until a friend asked me recently if I had made a decision about a pediatrician.
Pediatrician"! I guess it slipped my mind that in addition to all the preparations I'm making for my baby's birth, there are even more decisions to make and prep work to do for when the baby is here. It's hard to imagine what life is going to look like when I'm caring for a newborn baby, and even harder to imagine trying to get through my sweet baby's first illness. While no one wants to think about their tiny baby getting sick, it's better to be prepared and have a few plans and ideas in mind for when that day arrives. As a first-time mom, I turned to some friends to get a little baby wisdom to help me prepare.
Sleep and snuggles came highly recommended by friends too. I am sure I'll be more than happy to oblige!
