4 ways to answer this classic pregnancy question

I don't get angry a lot, I don't like putting people on the spot, and often if people ask me nosy questions or make a thoughtless comment, I try to assume they had good intentions. But when you near the end of your pregnancy, even the most mild-mannered of us get annoyed by questions and comments about these babies.
I think part of the problem is that while each person is only asking us once, we hear these questions and comments from everyone. It gets tiring. Also, we've been talking about being pregnant for almost 40 frigging weeks and we'd like to stop now, thank you.
So when someone would ask, "How are you feeling"" I would get cranky. I know it was well-intentioned, but when you're big, and hot, and ready to get that baby outta there, you don't really want to answer politely.

I'm not the only one who dreaded this question. Some of you in the BabyCenter community are also tired (so tired!) of answering how you're feeling.
Here are 5 ways to handle it.
1. You can give the stock answer.
Everyone wants to hear that you're great, and that you're so excited and can't wait to meet your sweet little peanut. Sometimes it's the fastest answer -- for example, if you're trying to leave work so you can go home, strip down to your maternity underwear, and stick your feet in a giant bucket of ice. It may not be the truth, but it gets you out of there.
