5 easy rainy day activities to entertain your kids

I keep a running list of easy rainy day activities to reference when a summer rainy day inevitably hits. In the summer we do a lot of swimming, riding bikes and scooters, playing soccer, and having water balloon fights. On rainy days or even when it's extra hot we try to find some activities we can do indoors under the comfort of shelter and air conditioning.
Here are 5 easy and fun rainy day activities to entertain your kids:
1. Play pretend camping.
Set up a tent with sheets, or in our case, hop inside the playhouse, and pretend to be camping. We pack picnic lunches, stick fresh marshmallows on sticks and pretend to roast them over a pretend fire we make from orange tissue paper and Lego Duplo bricks.
2. Make slime.
With Elmer's glue, contact lens solution, baking soda, and food coloring, you can make a safe and fun batch of slime. We use these IKEA Smula trays to contain the mess. On this particular day we made Earth slime by mixing a batch of blue slime with a batch of glitter green.

3. Make music.
