5 easy things you can bring to make a postpartum mom's day

I slap water on my face, stare into my eyes in the mirror and give myself a pep talk. My baby is up for the fifth time that night, but I can do this. I. CAN. DO. THIS.
Later that morning I receive a call from a friend who wants to visit the baby. Of course I think about how lovely it will be to see a friend and speak to another adult, but I also dread the rush before the visit of trying to clean up, get myself showered, and make sure there's no fresh spit up on my outfit.
The postpartum mom doesn't need flowers or chocolate. She needs an extra set of hands and an ear to listen.
If you don't want to show up empty handed, consider bringing a postpartum mom one of these:
1. Fresh fruit Fruit. Fruit, fruit, fruit, fruit, fruit. All I could dream about the first two weeks in the postpartum haze was fruit. I wanted juicy, cold watermelon cut into perfect cubes, a slice of fresh cantaloupe dripping with flavor, perhaps some giant crunchy green grapes I could pop into my mouth.
Freshly cut fresh fruit is a great option to bring the postpartum mom. Most new moms don't drink enough water and don't eat enough fruit. When you've got a newborn on your hands the last thing on your to-do list is going to be heading to the market and then preparing fresh fruit. The next time you visit a postpartum mom, bring her fresh fruit.
