5 indoor forts to help prevent cabin fever

Are you in the middle of this cold snap right now" I read that it's hitting the East Coast, but it's definitely chilly here in Colorado, and I have friends around the country who say their weather is frigid, too.
We usually have a few days (weeks") like this during the winter, when it's too cold or snowy or rainy to go out and we are instead stuck at home. Sigh. So I'm a huge fan of indoor forts - I think the thing they do best is change up an environment everyone's used to. I can't explain it, but activities you do every day are much more fun when they're done in a fort.
We've rounded up some of our favorite indoor forts you can set up at home. Once you do, move some of the kids' daily activities into the fort - have lunch in there, or reading time, or even nap time. And if you let the kids destroy the rest of the house while you hide out in the fort...well, you wouldn't be the first.
