5 pool toys you'll always find in my bag
by Lindsay Weiss posted in Life
I spend a lot of time sitting on the edge of our neighborhood kiddie pool over the summer. Yesterday a few of us were perched on the ledge and started sharing pool toys our kids liked and I realized I definitely have favorites in the pool toy department. I've gone through a LOT of pool toys with my three kids, but here are the ones that stand out as favorites:
1. Aqua Leisure Shimmer Dive Fish: These are a much prettier version of dive rings, and kids go crazy for them. They really are super shimmer-y, so always attract attention in the pool. We use them in the baby pool for my preschooler and the big pool for my big kids. ($13)
2. Melissa & Doug Fish Hunt: Just read the reviews to see I'm not the only one whose kiddo has a fascination with this toy. It provides a solid 30 minutes of entertainment in the baby pool; it's often a group effort to throw and "catch" the fish in the shark's mouth. The fish sink in the water, so this isn't a great deep-water toy for young kids, but it is golden for the kiddie pool. And the sound effects the kids make when the shark eats the fish" PRICELESS. ($12)
3. Moluk Plui Rainball: This is one of those toys that made me say "Huh" An $11 blob"" But it is probably the things the kids fight over most. There must be something really satisfying about squeezing it and making it "rain" because it's the first things to come out of our pool bag. It's also great for a pick...
