Being pregnant for 9 months sure did a number on me. Life is so different when you're carrying another human. Many of the habits that I had before I got pregnant fell away to make way for a new way of doing things. Now that my baby boy is here, though, things can go back to normal. Well, as normal as one can be with an infant and an 8-year-old!
In order to move forward, I need to let go of a few things first.

Checking the due date app
I would check my due date every single week when I was pregnant to determine what fruit or vegetable my growing baby resembled the most. I realized one day when my son was 3 months old that I could finally take it off my phone. Now I have a baby development app that I check consistently. Yup, I just switched one vice for another. Such is mom life. Abstaining from alcohol
I'm not one of those mamas who NEEDS a glass of wine every night. However, I do live in Northern California. Everywhere I go, there's good wine. Really good wine. I finally had a glass when my son was a little over a month old and it was just as refreshing and delicious as I remembered it to be.
Rubbing my belly
When I was pregnant, I wanted to make sure people knew I was with child because PERKS. Placing my hand gently on my stomach to get the point across became a habit probably a week after conception. Now that the baby is here, everyone gets it---I had a baby. Now I have to remind myself to stop rubbing my belly.
