5 road trip essentials for traveling with an infant

A few weeks ago, we took our first road trip as a family of 6. Yes, we took a 7-month-old on a 14-hour ROAD TRIP. Crazy" Yes! But we survived!
When I was packing, I wasn't really sure what to bring. My baby Liam needs SO many items throughout the day that I didn't want to be without, but I also didn't want to stuff us into the car like sardines with all his gear. I finally was able to narrow it down to a few items and they worked out perfectly for us.
Here are the essentials you should consider for your baby-on-board road trips.
A stroller. Kind of a no-brainer...but essential. We borrowed an umbrella stroller, but since I knew we'd be walking a lot around Myrtle Beach, I wanted our jogging stroller. Plus, my husband could take Liam on runs with him. It ended up being a lifesaver for restaurants, too! Portable snacks and food. Having food at arms' reach for Liam was super helpful. Since the older kids were in the back of the van with him, they could easily grab a small container of puffs or his bottle for him to help him eat. We also fell in love with this awesome Snack in the Box container, which kept item safe from spills, even at the beach! A little cooler was handy to hold 3-4 bottles for the road trip or travel during the day.
Pack 'n' Play. After considering a crib from the hotel, we thought our portable one would be a better idea. It ended up being a lifesaver for the beach, since Liam could nap under an umbrella. It did...
