5 slime recipe tips from an 11-year-old slime boss

I know an 11-year-old who has her own slime recipe and is running her own slime business. Her classmates place orders, specifying exact color requirements, while the 11-year-old learns valuable lessons about running a "business," from supply and demand to meeting customers' expectations.
Slime is the bottle-flipping craze of 2017. Kids are spending their afternoons tweaking their slime recipes, mixing up batch after batch of slime. Our local suburban Philadelphia pharmacies are constantly out of Borax and plain white glue; the same may be true where you live, since slime is a nationwide and possibly even worldwide craze with the tween crowd.
My favorite slime recipe uses borax and white glue. I especially love the sparkly Valentine slime recipe featured in the photo above. I polled 7 tweens (including the slime boss) to get their favorite tips for making your slime recipe better. Here are the 5 best:
1. Buy your glue in gallon-size jugs. It's a lot cheaper to buy it that way, and finding enough glue at your local store might prove to be difficult.
2. If you can't find borax, you can make slime with baby powder. Bonus: it will smell nice! Use equal parts water and baby powder.
3. Add a few drops of your favorite extract to make the slime smell heavenly. Add a little vanilla extract and red food coloring for a "cherry vanilla" slime. Or perhaps add some lemon extract and yellow food coloring for "lemon drop&...
