5 smart uses for Aquaphor Healing Ointment beyond diaper rash

Do you have a skin care product you've used since you were itty bitty" For me, it's Aquaphor. That blue-and-white container was in all the bathrooms of my young life, and it's pretty cool that it's now a staple in my own children's bathroom cabinet.
Over the years, I've discovered some really awesome ways to use Aquaphor. From beauty hacks to baby skincare, there's a secret Aquaphor menu you may not have discovered yet.
1. Smooth lips
This is one of my favorite Aquaphor uses. Pat it on your lips to keep them moisturized and soft, or apply with an old toothbrush to slough off dead skin. I do this weekly, especially in the winter and spring. It's also great for baby lips in the winter; one swipe and they have super, soft lips. 2. Goodbye, summer chafing
Summer is a wonderful time of year, but not when it comes to thigh-rub. I put a layer of Aquaphor on my inner thighs in the summer, then I don't have to worry about any -- ahem -- rubbing issues when I'm wearing my cute sundresses. And don't forget, babies can experience chafing too!
3. Dry Scalp
Little heads can experience dry, flaky scalps all year long. But, we always have Aquaphor at the ready. After our toddler's haircuts, we make sure to give his scalp a touch of TLC with a little Aquaphor in places where he tends to has dry spots: his cute widow's peak, back of neck, and middle of his head.
