5 things breastfeeding moms should know before flying this holiday season

The biggest travel day of the year is upon us. Traveling with a baby" You probably feel your anxiety ramping up, as you plan out how to feed him or her on-the-go.
I recall flying with my little one a few years ago. I'd packed formula powder to mix with bottled water on board our flight. The problem was, she wouldn't drink the bottle cold, and I had no way to heat it. A lot of fussing ensued. I'm sure the other passengers loved us!
My experience is only one example of the logistical nightmare many moms experience with flying and feeding their babies. There's the whole breastfeeding in public issue. Because you can't always control who you sit next to, and how they'll react to the natural act of feeding a small person!

Before you head to the airport, here's what you need to know:
You are allowed to bring breast milk on board. The TSA website notes that "reasonable quantities" of breast milk, baby formula, or juice (and baby food) are allowed through security screening.
