After a seemingly endless wait, April the giraffe and her newborn baby boy are resting comfortably at Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, New York. Meanwhile, the livestream of the birth on YouTube racked up more than 232 million live views.

After my own due date came and went, I received well-intentioned texts, emails, and phone calls about the status of the baby, and it only made me grouchy. We?ve all been there.
In the midst of birth, April walked around with hooves protruding from her bum for what felt like 87 years.
At first I thought it?s a good thing April doesn?t have access to the Internet, because -- wow -- a butt kickstand is not a great look for anyone. But then I realized, who among us hasn?t walked around with hooves hanging out of her butt" (Well ? okay. Me neither. I?m speaking figuratively here.)
