50 questionable life skills most kids aren't learning from moms anymore

A survey of 2,000 moms was conducted by British company Addis Housewares, and the results show over half of the respondents don?t have the time to teach their kids know-how. Though I can't explain why this wasn't a survey of PARENTS (moms and dads) about passing on life skills, I do find the topic interesting.
Without further ado, here is the list (along with my thoughts about my own kids and their skills). If you're anything like me, you'll have an easier time tallying the things you have taught your kid rather than haven't.
Darning socks --Â We do curse them when they go missing...
Patching trousers or jeans --Â They refuse to wear either and dress solely in sports attire.
How to darn a woolen jumper --Â Can't say they (or I) have ever even seen one. Re-heeling shoes --Â Not even a little bit.
How to polish brass and silverware --Â Ah! I had to do this as a kid. It was awful.
How to recycle soaps --Â What now"
Letter writing --Â As in the alphabet or correspondence" I'm going to presume the latter.
Making jam / marmalade --Â I've been too scared by all the boiling.
Hand washing clothes --Â Nerp.
Crocheting --Â Nope.
Making chutney --Â No thank you"
Knitting --Â Can't say that I've ever.
How to hem a dress --Â Negative.
Sewing buttons --Â Yes! My first point!
Making a trifle --Â Can we call this making dessert" Boom. Second point.
Making homemade ice lollies --Â Always meant to do this but never got around t...
