7 easy things I did to add some "spring" to my house (pics!)

The end of February and early March is always so confusing. We want it to be spring. There's Easter stuff everywhere. There are even bathing suits in the stores. But one look outside reveals brown, barren and dreary -- or worse, SNOW!
But Christmas is long gone and that cozy, warm winter feeling went with it, so I'm done. Finis. Kaput. It's time to bring out the spring. So, even though I spent most of the weekend as a maid servant to my daughter while she competed with her cheer team, I found a few minutes to dig out some fresh-looking (fake) greens and a few other knick-knacks to lighten things up a bit. Feel free to steal any of these ideas!
Flowers on the Kitchen Table
It's a trick as old as my granny, but flowers on the table can change a room. In my case, they have to be fake because I kill all live plants, so these are some magnolias from Michael's in a set of glass vases and old wood tray from Kirkland's. I actually just store these in the basement during the winter months and plop 'em on the table when I'm ready for spring.
Freshen Up Accessories - Part 1
Replace pictures with greenery -- (this is a hollow white frame from Hobby Lobby filled with a fake boxwood wreath) and fill vases with any scraps of flowers/greenery you have left over. Recognize those magnolias" You'll see them again, too.
