7 ways to make the glucose test from hell slightly more fun

When I entered into the 3rd trimester, and moved from monthly to bi-weekly OB appointments, I celebrated with a glucose test. You know the one; chug this disgusting bottle of sugar syrup and then sit on your hands for an hour while you wait to be poked and prodded for blood. Good times, not so much.
I decided that this time around I would be prepared. I would come with an hour worth of something to do. Here are a few good ideas for how to spend that dreaded hour while you have your glucose test done.
Pinterest: I could easily spend an hour "Pinning" projects that I probably will never have time to do or recipes so elaborate that their ingredients will never make it to my grocery list.
Facebook: Nothing better than passing the time absorbed in other people s life, watching funny videos and liking your friend's recent upload of vacation pictures. You need a vacation so this might make you cry. Read a book: a Nicholas Sparks book will make the time fly by, be warned it may also induce tons of hormonal tears.
People watch: spend the hour checking out all the other pregnant ladies and be happy when you see someone that looks bigger than you.
Fill out paper work: get your pre-birth or hospital registration paper work filled out while you wait.
See the Dr: This is what I did. I drank the delicious lemon lime syrup and then saw my doctor for my appointment. By the time I was done with the appointment it was time for my blood draw, ...
