8 things that surprised me when I went back to work full-time

After five years of being a part-time freelancer, I'm going back to work full-time.
I was feeling the itch to get back out there and see what kind of career I could build post-babies. My kids are a bit older and more independent. Soon my son will be starting kindergarten. I feel ready in a way I had not been before.
Let me just cut and say something right here.
I realize what a luxury it was to be able to work from home, at my own pace, some or not at all over the last five years. Having that flexibility to care for my family and figure out my life as a new mom is definitely not something I take for granted. And frankly, more women need these kinds of options when making choices about their careers. *Steps off soapbox.* I was able to accept a full-time work-from-home position that perfectly suited my skill set. Let me be honest. I was excited but also terrified.

So many questions. But through it all, there have been a few surprising things that have happened.
1. The laundry has taken on a life of its own.
I'm a little scared to enter my laundry room. I can't remember when I last did the laundry and which baskets are clean. It's utter chaos. It was manageable before, but seriously it's out of control now. Please send me all the laundry hacks.
2. I am shocked at how much I can get done in a day.
