9 ways to bump up your Pokémon Go
by Michelle Stein posted in Mom Stories
Obviously, Pokémon Go is NOT just for kids. Everybody and their grandmother, it seems, is in hot pursuit of these fictional creatures. But, who would have guessed Pokémon could capture the attention of one unique demographic--moms -- in such a wildly distracting way.
You can bet your stash of Poké balls there are plenty of expecting mamas out there searching for Charmanders, Squirtles and Bulbasaurs, too. Pokémon Go is popping in the BabyCenter Community as moms are playing Pokémon Go before, during and after baby (one mom announced she?d just done 7.5 miles of bye-bye-baby weight Pokémon Go).
While it?s too early to tell whether or not the game will spark a Pokémon baby name revolution (hello baby Pikachu"), it's clear that Pokémon Go is adding some welcome spice to the walks that should be a part of every pregnancy. And with people literally falling off of cliffs playing the game, this would NOT be good for Mom and baby, here are 9 simple rules for Pregnancy Pokémon Go. Have fun and watch your step. 1) Make sure your Pokémon adventures are close to a public bathroom. With the weight of your baby riding on your poor, squished bladder, walking around for extended periods of time on the Pokémon prowl will only make it worse. Even better" Choose a gym that's near a restroom. You don't want to be caught in the middle of a battle without access to a toilet when nature calls.
2) Carry your phone as you walk laps...
