A deliciously simple New Year's fondue recipe

Do you fondue"
It's our New Year's Eve tradition -- we always have fondue night. Actually, my husband goes a little nuts.
That's not even all our fondue pots!!! Clearly, he has issues, which we cannot delve into during a holiday week, but...someone help me.
If you do not have seven of your own fondue pots, don't fret. You don't really even need one. It helps, but it's not a deal-breaker. You can keep your fondue warm in a slow cooker instead, and use wooden skewers for dipping. But you can probably find one or two pots (if you want both dinner and dessert) for cheap at thrift stores. That's where we've gotten all of ours.
My other tips for surviving New Year's Eve Fondue Night -- just strip down everyone who's young enough before you even start, and invest in a stain-remover. This is not a clean endeavor, you understand. It's good, messy fun. And keep the camera ready.
Now THAT'S a party.
So this is a simple cheese fondue recipe. I'd accompany it with bread cubes (toasted if you're feeling ambitious...), baby carrots, broccoli, apples, and cauliflower if you can get your kids to eat it. If you're looking for an equally easy dessert recipe, try this chocolate fondue recipe as well.
