A letter to my baby, who paints my days beautiful

From sleepless nights to tiring days, new motherhood does come with hardships. There are innumerable errands to run and no time to spare. But what you choose to take from the experience, and then not to, is the gift of a conscious choice.
My choice came like an epiphany. One look in the mirror ? drawn out eyes, sulking shoulders and a bag of dirty diapers in my hand ? I decided then and there and motherhood ought to mean more than this. And that was it.
With all possible wonders packed into her tiny, little self, my baby paints my day beautiful with her amazing actions and expressions. Inspired by her vibrancy, I decided to pen down events and incidents as they occur with my child - for me, for her and for all interested to read and believe in the fact that happiness comes in small packets. Like love, words find a way to the heart. And so I write about experiences with my baby-- to carve memories that will forever fill the heart with joy. Here's one of the letters I wrote to my now-6-month-old baby, Piya.
A gentle touch
Dear Piya,
It is a little past midnight.
I put you to sleep about two hours ago.
I had some unfinished tasks to complete and was waiting to get to them as soon as you slept, and so I did.
What seemed like fifteen minutes of work showed up as a whopping two-hour long turn of hands on the clock!
