All the clothes you need for your newborn's first month

Pregnant women are baby-clothes magnets. Everyone loves shopping for dear doll-sized baby clothes, so you may find yourself unwrapping an outfit just about every time a visitor drops by during your pregnancy. But though these gifts are sweet and lovable, they're often not very practical. Your floppy newborn is not going to be able to nap in a sailor suit, and party dresses aren't practical for anything but a party.
So you'll want to lay in a small supply of baby clothing that's comfortable, easy to wash, and keeps your baby warm. Not too much, because your baby will grow so fast you'll be in 3-month sizes in no time. But not too little, because newborns are inherently messy creatures who frequently need outfit changes during the day and night. You want just enough. You want: ? 6 bodysuits

? 3 sleepers
? 2 wearable blankets or sleep sacks
? 2 hats
? 8 pairs of socks
? 1 jacket
