Amazing photos remind us how kids are explorers in a brand new world

When we visit an aquarium or museum, we give in to curiosity and exploration. In these environments, we expect our kids to poke around and take everything in as though it's all new -- but how many of us give our kids that same understanding when we're at the coffee shop or grocery store"
A photo project, centered around Astronaut Harrison and his helmet, is challenging adults to pay more attention to how kids experience things. "Small Steps are Giant Leaps" is about reminding parents that to our kids this is a new and exciting world just waiting to be explored.
Harrison's father had the idea for the series after taking a bus trip with his then 3-year-old son. What was an everyday journey for him as an adult had Harrison "completely transfixed." The helmet (chosen by Harrison because he admires astronauts' bravery) and ensuing photoshoots have helped this little guy get over his fears of hand-dryers, doctor office exam tables, and hair clippers.
This creative dad hopes that when other parents who may be losing their patience look at this series they'll remember their kids "aren't just acting like fools - they are exploring new frontiers."
"Our job as parents is to act as their mission control and co-pilot to make sure they can explore as much of their new world as possible."
What everyday thing has your child been fascinated by"
