Iconic mother Florence Henderson died November 24th in a Los Angles hospital. The TV star was admitted on the 23rd and was later pronounced dead at the age of 82.
It is believed that heart failure is the leading cause of death. Henderson's passing came as a total shock to friends and family due to the fact she seemed to be in excellent health, as earlier stated by the star's manager Kayla Pressman.
Florence Henderson played one of America's most iconic mothers to ever appear on television. Henderson played Carol Brady in the popular sitcom "The Brady Bunch" from 1969 to 1979.
Regarding the creation of her character Carol Brady, Henderson said,
"I created the kind of mother that I wished I'd had, and I think everyone longs for." Florence's role as the infallible mother to three daughters and three step-sons gave every American child living in a mixed family, like mine, hope for a normal and healthy upbringing in a time dominated by the nuclear family.
After the filming of the last season of The Brady Bunch in 1979, Florence Henderson went on to appear in several movies and TV shows that spanned many genres. She appeared on "Murder She Wrote," "Roseanne," "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire," and, strangely, "WWE Raw" among many others.
Several celebrities who had the honor of working with Florence Henderson took to their social media accounts after learning of her death.
