Anatomic Anna and Andy: The dolls your kids never knew they needed

My 5-year-old is fascinated with how the human body works. He loves reading about digestion in his informational lift-the-flap book. He also gets a kick out of the Baby Alive doll we got for Christmas. (You know, the one that "eats" food made from play dough and then "poops" it out" Yeah, that one.)
So I can imagine he would flip out over this anatomical doll I spotted on Kickstarter.
Meet Anatomic Anna and Andy.
Anatomic Anna and Andy are 18-inch STEM dolls on a mission to encourage learning about the human body through play. At first, they appear to be your run-of-the-mill dolls -- until you undress them. That's when you'll discover their torso open to expose removable internal organs. The dolls are intended for kids between ages 4 and 12, and come with information on each of the organs and body systems, as well as directions for their anatomical placement. Did I mention they also come with a handy drawstring bag to store organs in and a cool poster to hang on the wall" Sold. The woman behind Anatomic Anna and Andy is a mother of four from the UK who has home-schooled her children for the past six years. Her idea came after the busy mama was searching for fun and educational toys pertaining to human anatomy, but came up empty-handed.
