Anti-bullying photo project transforms victimized kids into Avengers heroes

The new Avengers movie inspired photographer Josh Rossi and his wife Roxana to help bullied kids find their own unique differences and strengths in an empowering photo shoot. Each child chosen for this special project has been a victim of merciless bullying. It's almost impossible to believe how cruel their peers have been, and it is so about time these brave kids were celebrated for who they are.
Like Jackson Bezzant, who was born with facial deformities. According to his dad, the little boy has been called "monster" and "freak" at school. After hearing his story, Rossi was inspired to turn Jackson into Captain America, the leader of the Avengers.
Sadly, Jackson Bezzant's story isn't unusual. Rossi heartbreakingly shares that 12-year-old Jackson Sommers has 35 percent of his brain missing. So, "Kids pushed him down and spit on him at school because he walked and talked differently than they did." The photographer transformed Jackson into Dr. Strange for the photo shoot, and it's clear from this image that the positive attention meant the world to the young boy.
Other bullied kids' stories are no less shocking and saddening. This is Sydney Gerardis. Rossi says she "was secretly contemplating her suicide when her close friends told her they'd throw a party if she died." It's almost too sick to be true. There can't be a single parent reading this who isn't horrified to imagine their child facin...
