Apparently these weaning tricks could traumatize your baby

Your strong-willed child refusing to wean" "Rub some vinegar or lemon juice on your nipples before letting your baby nurse" is the advice you might get online.
One mom shared her story,
?I got some lemon juice in the bottle, cover both my nipples in it. (Don?t let baby see you do this.) And then offered it to him. He had a few sucks and said, ?Mummy boobie milk yucky.?
[I] gave him big hugs and said, ?Sorry Mummy milk gone yucky. I can get you drink in cup.' He has not gone back since and it has been 5 weeks."
But according to International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) Michelle Kunschke, this might not be a great idea.
She told Romper that while making your nipples taste bad might not pose a physical hazard to your baby, it may prove to be traumatic. She stated, ?Instead of making their most significant source of comfort unavailable or very unpleasant, encouraging the child in different activities is really a better way to go for everyone."
While potential trauma seems like a stretch, there are a few uncommon weaning methods out there that would possibly scare your child off boobs forever.
