Average moms work 98 hours per week; no wonder I'm exhausted

I ask myself this most mornings while clutching a large cup of coffee and attempting to cover up the perpetual dark circles under my eyes.
Hmmm, maybe it has something to do with the fact that I'm working the equivalent of two-and-half, full-time jobs. Because according to a 2017 study, working American mothers clock an average of 98 hours per week. It's no wonder we're all so damn exhausted.
The study -- which was conducted by Market Researchers OnePoll, and commissioned by Welch's Grape Fruit Juice -- recently looked at 2,000 U.S. working moms with kids ages 5-12. The main purpose of the study was to highlight the most useful tools and resources moms have in their arsenals. Among the top contenders on this list of "lifesavers" were: Drive-thru meals, an iPad/tablet, Netflix, kids' TV shows, a reliable babysitter, wine and coffee. (Sounds about right to me.) The study also revealed they were clocking 100 hours of work on a weekly basis. Here's a look at a few more "fun facts" from this sample of working moms:
A mom's typical day started at 6:23 a.m. and she didn't finish up work/family obligations until 8:31 p.m.-- meaning she worked a whopping 14 hours per day.
Four in 10 moms said they feel like their lives are a "never-ending series of tasks."
Moms claimed to have an average of one hour and seven minutes to themselves each day.
