Babyation: Finally, a breast pump for the modern mom

If you've ever expressed milk from your breasts with a pump, you've probably noticed the process can, well, suck. Breast pumps can be loud and inefficient. They're sometimes bulky and certainly not discreet.
But one husband-wife team is working to change this. Jared Miller and Samantha Rudolph decided to bring the breast pump into the 21st century by creating the Babyation breast pump. Could this be the pump moms have been waiting for"

The road to Babyation began two years ago when Rudolph was inspired by an article in The New York Times' Motherlode blog called "Shouldn't the Breast Pump Be as Elegant as an iPhone and as Quiet as a Prius By Now"" She decided to take on the challenge. With Jared's engineering background, the couple set out to develop their first prototype. Their goals were simple: Make pumping easier, more discreet and more efficient. They consulted with as many moms, doctors and lactation consultants as they could to further refine their product. Of course, the couple ended up gaining a whole new level of insight after welcoming a baby of their own.
