Britax recalls over 200,000 car seats due to choking hazard

Britax Child Safety, Inc. has announced a recall affecting more than 200,000 car seats and travel systems. Although no injuries have been reported so far, the center tab on the chest clip can break, posing a choking hazard to an infant in the car seat.

This recall is in cooperation with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and includes the Britax B-Safe 35, B-Safe 35 Travel Systems, B-Safe 35 Elite, B-Safe 35 Elite Travel Systems and BOB B-Safe 35 rear-facing infant seats. Affected seats were manufactured between Nov. 1, 201,5 and May 31, 2017 and have center tab on the chest clip marked "ABS" that may break.
