A while back I was watching an episode of Shark Tank when this sweet little company called milk + brookies came on and presented their product. Their whole concept was that the combination of brownies and cookies is *so* much better than just one or the other.
It was a light bulb moment for me.
So, you can imagine, I was up in arms when they did not get a deal from those mean Shark Tankers. WHO DOESN'T WANT TO INVEST IN BROOKIES"""
Lucky for everyone, milk + brookies didn't miss a beat. They cater all sorts of events in LA and will even ship their items worldwide. So boo on you Shark Tank.
Since I don't live in LA, I made some of my own. I was in a little bit of a hurry, so the first batch I made I did with a brownie mix and prepackaged cookie dough. They were SO good! Then I made a batch from scratch. For some reason, they were NOT AS GOOD! I'm going to fool around with that recipe a bit, because I know I can get it right (after all, we know milk + brookies can do it!) But in the meanwhile, this semi-homemade version is so good I wanted to share it with you. If you need to make a quick and easy treat using a little help from the store, this would be the very first thing I'd turn to. It looks totally homemade, so no one will ever know!
