Cook a whole lot of bacon at once: Oven-baked bacon

Have you ever cooked your bacon in the oven" We have been doing it for years. If you love bacon, this is the best way to cook a big batch all at once. Clean up is such a breeze and you don't have to worry about grease splatters all over your kitchen and shirt.
One thing I love to have on hand is cooked bacon. You never know when you're going to need it. If you use this method, you can cook a bunch of bacon all at once, then freeze those perfect strips flat in the freezer to add to salads, or any dish that calls for a little bit of crumbled bacon.
If you stack the strips of bacon into one pan in different directions (see picture), you can cook two (one pound) packages at once in the same pan in the oven. About halfway through the cooking time, the bacon will have shrunk a significant amount, freeing up a lot of space in the pan. You can then move the top pieces down to a single layer so it will cook evenly and crisp up.
Ingredients:
1 to 2 pounds bacon
Instructions:
1. Line the pan with tinfoil.
2. Place the strips of bacon on top.
3. Place the pan into a cold, unheated oven (use the middle rack).
4. Set the oven to bake at 400°F (204°C).
5. Set the timer for 20 minutes. It may take a bit more time, depending on your oven.
6. About halfway through the cooking time, move and separate the bacon on the pan to allow for even cooking.
