Dad lets daughter pick a school photo outfit, and it's adorable

I think school picture day is probably a bigger deal for parents than it is for kids. Parents pick out special outfits for the big day, spend extra time brushing hair, and do their best to make sure they can get that annual picture of them looking their formal best. Well, except when they don?t.
One dad eschewed with the annual fussing about photogenic clothing and gave his daughter a chance to pick what she wore for school pictures. The result was a terrific picture that shows off just how cute the little girl is and which contains a healthy dose of personality to boot:
As a father who let his son wear a Superman costume for a month, I approve. I mean, I have to knock some points off for the kid?s choice of a Man of Steel toy instead of a version where Superman actually smiles, but setting my nerd rage aside, it?s a perfect picture. My wife and I follow more of a dress-the-kids-up philosophy, but thanks to my wife being an amateur photographer we already have several thousand pictures of the kids at play. In our case, school pictures are a special occasion because they?re one of the few times when our son wears a tie.
School pictures show us year after year how our kids have changed. If you go for formal pictures, you see your kid in a similar pose and clothing, making the growth easy to see. If you go for more personalized pictures, you get to see what your kid enjoyed most as the years went by.
