Dear mom friends: I like you too much to invite you over

I miss my mom friends. Our last playdate was sometime in November, before our families all became sick --in steady rotation -- with various illnesses. General busyness with the holidays and weariness from sleepless nights and parenting toddlers has left us catching up online and not in person.
No matter how hard we've tried, the mom group I often spend time with hasn't been able to connect in months. It's never the same thing twice, but it's always something. This last week, as an example, my family had pink eye. Not to mention that we've been working at a furious pace to fix up our house for an appraisal we're having in a week. I'm spinning my wheels, cleaning up spills, sorting laundry, painting counter tops, and tidying up the never-ending paper pile-ups in the office.
I miss having a relaxed playdate where our kids can play, explore, and maybe even hit each other. Seriously, I'd take an hour of crying and hugs-that-turn-into-bites to simply merely sit in the same room as these women over the consistently busy semi-solitude I've been feeling.
But what to do" Here's what I'm going to try:
1) Don't give up on each other. Even though I haven't connected face-to-face in months with some of these women, I still count them among my closest friends. I know in my heart that we WILL get together again. Someday. Before one of our kids graduates, probably...
2) Be patient. With everybody. My kids didn't choose to get pink eye, my inf...
