Disney's The Story of Menstruation was pretty badass for 1946

Once upon a time, Disney not only had pretty princesses that were rescued by knights, they made videos about menstruation. The year was 1946, and though sex ed still had a long road ahead of it, young girls had the opportunity to learn about becoming a woman via a fairytale-esque video.
If you haven't yet had the pleasure of taking in Disney's The Story of Menstruation, I'm pleased to introduce you to the 10-minute animated film. Over the years it's been shown to approximately 105 million American students in health education classes.
A few extra fun facts about the The Story of Menstruation video:
-- It was part of a 1945 to 1951 series of films that Disney produced for American schools.
-- The Story of Menstruation increased its reputation when it received the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval. -- It was distributed with a booklet for teachers and students called Very Personally Yours that featured advertising of the Kotex brand of products, and discouraged the use of tampons, where the market was dominated by the Tampax brand of tampons from Tampax Inc.
-- The Story of Menstruation is believed to be the first film to use the word "vagina" in its screenplay.
