Here we are at the end of the school year and you know what that means...a little graduation celebrating is in order. The year of school completed doesn't matter, there?s always a reason to celebrate. Here's a fun graduation party favor for all ages. I guess they just need to be old enough to chew a gum ball without swallowing it.

To make these DIY gum ball graduation cap favors, here?s what you?ll need:
? black 1 inch gum balls

? 1? x 7? clear plastic tubes (these hold 7 gumballs)

? 2? x 2? black cardstock squares

? 4? x 1/2? black cardstock strips

? yellow embroidery thread

? low temp hot glue gun

? scissors

? hole punch

To make the tassel, start by using one of your 2? x 2? pieces of card stock and wrapping the yellow embroidery thread around it about 15 times. Next, snip one whole side of the thread off the card stock.
Third, create a small loop with all your thread and wrap a new piece of thread around it all about 10 times. Glue in place.
Last, tie a longer piece of thread to the top of a single loop. (This will attach to the graduation cap). Snip the ends of the tassel to make them nice and neat!

To make the graduation cap, punch a hole on the center of a 2? x 2? piece of card stock. Make a circle with one of the strips and glue the ends, making sure it?s large enough to fit around your clear tube. Attach the circle to the card stock square with a thin line of glue.
