Does your husband have a social life" He's not alone

My husband has no friends.
Okay, that's not entirely true. He gets along with his coworkers. He genuinely likes them and when they have to do work-related things outside the office, he enjoys being with them. We have neighbors we chat with and friends who come over for dinner sometimes. But after reading this article, I'm starting to realize he doesn't have close friends he sees regularly.
I think this line from the article is exactly why:
"When people with children become overscheduled, they don?t shortchange their children, they shortchange their friendships."
We talk about how women are finally coming to terms with the idea that we can't have it all, but do men wrestle with this, too" Dads are, thankfully, more involved than ever in their kids' lives, but that means something has to give somewhere else. We don't have time for everything. Although it can be inconvenient (and maybe infringe on my sleep, sometimes), I make it a point to spend time with my friends. But in an informal survey of my female peers, I discovered that almost none of their husbands plan to do things with other guys.
I tried to get my husband to pose here, looking very sad and in need of a friend, but he refused. Whatever.
