Easy date night at home ideas for busy parents

With 4 kids, date nights are basically non-existent. As much as we always say we're going to try to do one at least once a month, our busy schedule gets in the way. Lately we've been enjoying some fun date nights IN. Staying home saves money on both food and a sitter (how hard is it to find a decent babysitter"!), plus it's easy to schedule. And I can wear leggings.
Obviously, we can easily Netflix and chill together, but I have a few fun other ideas...all budget-friendly!
Find your favorite restaurant recipe and make it together! Pinterest is filled with great recipes, might as well try one! Even if you end up buying a $15 steak at the grocery store, you're still saving tons of money making it at home. Grab a bottle of wine and make dinner together after the kiddos go to bed. My Whiskey brown sugar steak is always a hit...plus then you'll have whiskey for later! MYO Beer flights! In my area, breweries are popping up left and right but we never can seem to find time to visit them. We have a few great grocery stores that have tap rooms. A take-home growler is a fun way to try a new brew from the comfort of your own home. If you'd like to kick it up a notch, try buying 4 different varieties of bottled beer to make a flight like they do in restaurants. Just serve in little glasses and remember to take notes on which ones you liked! This can also be done with wine.
