Easy pizza breadsticks your kids will love
by Kami Bigler posted in Life & Home
We're all looking for quick dinner ideas, am I right"! Most kids love spaghetti, and most moms love spaghetti because it's simple to make, it fills them up and with a red tomato sauce and a meatball or two, it's a pretty well rounded meal. Along with breadsticks and a salad, you can feel good about serving a simple spaghetti dinner for dinner...if there's a salad on the side loaded with veggies, that's a bonus.
Well, here's a fun spin on traditional breadsticks. Next time you go to make breadsticks, try pizza breadsticks for an Italian take on a classic.
Here's the recipe:
Pizza Twist Breadsticks
- pre-made crescent roll dough in a can
- a can of tomato sauce
- a package of grated mozzarella cheese
- Italian seasonings
- baking sheet lined with parchment paper (for easy clean up)
Directions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Open the can of bread dough and separate each section. Twist each piece until it is twisted and stretched out on the pan. Take a spoon full of tomato sauce and spread generously over the twisted dough followed with a sprinkle of Italian seasonings and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the tops are golden brown. Serve with spaghetti, meatballs, and salad.
