Eva Amurri shares intimate home birth story + photos

If you've ever wondered what a home birth is really like, actress Eva Amurri is giving the world a very up close and personal look at her own experience.
The 31-year-old has been incredibly honest about her journey through motherhood so far, opening up about pregnancy and parenting both in interviews and on her blog, Happily Eva After. She also penned a very moving post about her miscarriage in 2015, writing about what it felt like to be told that her baby's heart was no longer beating and how she and her husband Kyle Martino struggled through their grief.
Less than a year later, Eva shared the happy news that they were expecting again, and on October 19 she delivered a baby boy named Major James at the family's Connecticut home. Eva delivered her first child, daughter Marlowe, at home as well, and calls the 36-hour labor "the hardest and most intense freaking thing I?ve ever done in my life," but says that it was also "a revolutionary experience." That, coupled with her intense fear of hospitals, was enough to convince her to welcome her son at home as well.
She recently shared the story of Major's birth on her blog, complete with very personal photos of the labor and delivery.
Eva leaves very few details out. She talks about how, when she started feeling contractions coming on, she wrapped the upholstered headboard in plastic and rolled up the rug on their bedroom floor. She shows a photo of her husband ...
