Even Duchess Kate is sometimes bowled over by her mother duties

Kate Middleton may be a member of the royal family, but that doesn't mean she gets free pass from the "stresses and strains" of motherhood.
Sunday was Mother's Day in the UK, and the Duchess of Cambridge, mom to kids George, 3 1/2, and Charlotte, 1 1/2, used the occasion to draw attention to the fact that raising children can be really hard. Not exactly a newsflash to all of us moms who are relying heavily on caffeine and dry shampoo, but still something that definitely deserves mentioning.
"Personally, becoming a mother has been such a rewarding and wonderful experience. However, at times it has also been a huge challenge -- even for me who has support at home that most mothers do not," Kate said as she introduced Out of the Blue, a new documentary series on motherhood and mental health. "Nothing can really prepare you for the sheer overwhelming experience of what it means to become a mother. It is full of complex emotions of joy, exhaustion, love and worry, all mixed together. Your fundamental identity changes overnight."
