We just got back from the most heavenly, crazy, and fun trip to Walt Disney World. It was our first visit since having kids, and, wow, was it magical!
I read a lot of Disney tips before we went, but I didn't find any useful short lists of items people are glad they brought with them for their vacation. I compiled a list for your next visit to Disney World or any theme park or family vacation.
Here are 6 useful items to bring on your next Disney World family vacation:
1. External battery for your phone or tablet
I bought two Poweradd Slim 2 Ultra-Compact Portable Power Banks (Amazon, $10.99/each) and packed them in my backpack, unsure if they would be useful or a waste of space. These were so important for our trip and I was so thankful we had them. An external battery pack allows you to charge your phone on the go. This specific model charged up our phones 3-4 times per day before dying. You use your own brick (the white block you plug into the wall) to charge the device. Then you bring your own white power cord to plug your phone into the device on the go. Easy! This model is very small, about the size of a tube of lipstick, so it wasn't cumbersome to carry along.
Because Disney World offers a very useful app now, My Disney Experience, to plan your FastPasses, dining reservations, and view daily happenings, I found that I was constantly using my phone. We also didn't bring our bulky cameras and instead used our phones to take some ...
