If you are seeing lots of family pictures on your social media feeds this morning, that's because today is National Sibling Day--a day to honor and celebrate our siblings, for better or worse.
Even though my brother is four years older than me, he rarely turned down my requests that we play hula hoops. While I'm sure he would have rather been playing Tetris, he humored me. I can't remember squabbling with my brother about anything more than whether we should listen to Nirvana or Mariah Carey on long car rides. My brother was patient with me even when I took out my hot pink spy kit and spied on him and his cool friends.He always took care of me and he still does.
I love my brother. I long for my own children to have that type of relationship with one another, where they don't fight and they learn so much from one another.
