Hate drinking from plastic" 5 safe cup options for kids

When I am looking for drinking cups for my kids I usually ask three things:
Is it easy to clean"
Is it actually spillproof"
Is the material safe for my children"
I have been taught by countless articles and studies to avoid plastic, most especially plastic containing BPA. I am thankful to plastic for lots of things that it has given us, from fun toys for my kids to my iPhone cover that is seemingly indestructible. But I do try to avoid plastic when it comes to eating and drinking.
While my kids drink from regular drinking glasses at home, they use cups with covers for school and on the go. One problem I've had when looking for kids' cups that don't contain BPA is that many times even if the vessel isn't plastic the lid and/or straw is. I haven't found a solution for that. Also, while I absolutely LOVE glass bottles, I find them to be too heavy for a child to carry in his backpack for a long period of time, especially when filled.
Note: These cups are not cheap, but I have only two cups per child, one for drinking while the other one is in the dishwasher.
