Here's how to treat these 4 very common baby skin issues

When a new baby arrives there are so many things on our minds. Pair that with sleep exhaustion and a shift in routine and even experienced moms may forget things we used to know about babies.
In the first few weeks after having each of my children I called my pediatrician in a panic, forgetting that some things, like baby skin issues, are simply normal. The bumps and spots and flakes that worry you are common, and nothing to worry about as your baby adjusts to life outside the womb.
Here are some problems you may notice in your baby's skin, and the simplest way to care for them.
1. Baby acne
Baby acne normally occurs around 2-3 weeks. It may show up on your baby's face and chest area and can last until around 4-6 months of age. This condition is caused by mom-hormones that circulate in your baby's blood even after birth. The best way to care for baby acne is to wipe with water and pat dry. Avoid products on the skin and know that while it looks bad, it's not itchy or painful so your baby isn't bothered by it at all. 2. Infant eczema
Infant eczema is a common skin issue that actually does bother your baby, since it can be itchy and uncomfortable. It most commonly starts on the face/head but can spread to other parts of the body as well. The best way to care for it is to use a soap made for sensitive skin like Johnson's Head-to-Toe baby wash.
