Last year I took my daughter school shopping for the first time. I'll admit I was much more excited than she was. Being 3 she wanted to try clothes on for a total of 5 minutes. Two hours in we were all suffering from blood-sugar deficits and missed naps.
I struggled when trying to find her size. I've written about our larger-than-average child before and her height vs. her toddler body also makes it difficult to find clothes. We went back and forth between the toddler section and the big girl section trying to find shirts that would fit her toddler tummy and leggings that gave her the right length while being snug enough on her hips.

This year we won't have that struggle, because I'm doing my shopping online. I've got my trusty, albeit rarely used, measuring tape on hand so I can compare her measurements with store size guides online.
